District D is one of six newly drawn districts for the Worcester School Committee map. District D was intentionally designed to bring representation to underrepresented neighborhoods and people of color. Out of the district's roughly 18,000 voting-age residents, a majority are people of color.
District D has a proud heritage as diverse, working-class community. Alex will do justice to that history as someone who grew up in the district and has lived here for decades.
District D represents these neighborhoods:
Vernon Hill
Green Island
Grafton Hill
South Worcester
Main South
Webster Square
